Position Description

As a Production Team Lead you will provide key management support for distribution manager to ensure production meets or exceed efficiency and company quality standards. You will be responsible for sorting household goods and must have an eye for quality in order to discern sellable household products and be able to detect defects and/or poor quality. May involve work on Saturdays.

• Leads sorters and contract labor to meet or exceed production goals
• Performs activities to track and control flow of production
• Maintains consistent flow of goods per team assigned
• Ensures all completed and processed products are labeled correctly with IYR signage
• Maintains and trains staff to reach product quality and efficiency standards
• Reports quality problems to the production supervisor and assists in resolving them
• Maintains proper documentation and reports to track production
• Stages product for distribution driver pickup
• Operates balers, compactors and hand trucks.
• Identifies recyclable materials and puts in proper bin
• Suggests improvements to sort procedures and processes
• Acts to improve efficiencies, reduce cost, reduce waste and increase revenue
• Provides training to new employees as needed.

Must Haves
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have basic math, reading and writing skills

Physical Requirements

• Working conditions are normal for a warehouse working environment temperatures 0 – 100 F
• Must be able to regularly, safely lift 40 lbs.
• Noise levels in all areas are within acceptable ranges.
• Safety equipment, gloves, closed toed shoes are required
